Improve XML transport performance, Part 1 starts to look at how to improve the the performance of transfering data using XML. Interestingly enough it references a paper from SUN which dicusses using ASN.1 to provide a fast transfer. This is the second time that ASN.1 has cropped up in the last few months, the last time being in IEEE ITPro.
